Akse is a Street Artist based in Manchester since 1997. Akse started as a traditional Graffiti Artist nearly 25 years ago and has specialised in photorealistic portraiture over the last decade. His painting has taken him to various places around the globe including Spain, France, Czech Republic, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and the USA.

Akse has collaborated with various social justice organisations including the Mines Advisory Group, Mustard Tree, Witness and Christie’s Manchester Cancer Centre. His most recent project was a collaboration with poet/writer Lemn Sissay for a short documentary on Children in Care for Channel Four News.
